Scotia Tower

The building, which is the Scotia Bank head office for Québec and eastern Canada, presents a strong institutional image. Due to its abundant use of stone and a reinterpretation of the historical vocabulary of traditional banks, the building reflects solidity and confidence. This post-modern skyscraper is comprised of a four-story banking hall and a 28 floor office tower. The entrance hall’s distinctive allure and scope make it stand out amongst the buildings on Sherbrooke St. In the back, the tower is slightly withdrawn from the street and thus stands apart from the buildings facing it. The offices situated in the front of the building enjoy an unobstructed view of Mount Royal.
