This project’s conception was conditioned by very strong urban constraints. Beyond integration with and respect for the existing buildings on the land to be developed, the concept blends seamlessly with the adjacent buildings in a reasonable size. With views of Mount Royal scrupulously protected, the limited height of the new building constituted an additional constraint. The association of contemporary buildings and renovated historic buildings allowed for the creation of 16 dwellings. A mix of architectural styles, as well as a dynamic interweaving of elements, produces a remarkably urban whole.
